The primary purpose of Roc Top Pet is to raise funds for the Verona Street Animal Society. Their goals include raising awareness and providing financial and volunteer resources to enhance the capabilities of Rochester Animal Services. Every dollar spent on votes goes directly to the Verona Street Animal Society, making a significant impact on the community and the lives of animals.

Laszlo has participated in the contest in both 2023 and 2024, raising over $3000 to date. He is determined to claim the top spot in 2025 and become the first cat to win the coveted title of Roc Top Pet.
